Rizal Pastors or RGP (Renewed Gospel Partners) regularly meet at least once a month as part of their mentoring program. They seldom get the chance of attending seminars or conferences because it is very rare that they have one in the area for deeper biblical and pastoral studies. They expressed their appreciation with the ministry and efforts of All 4 Christ to do this kind of upgrading lectures for the pastors. They were expecting between 40 to 50 pastors but one group of pastors and leaders who expressed their interest in joining went to a mission trip which was originally scheduled on the 1st week of June but because of unavoidable circumstances, they had to move their mission trip earlier than expected.
As you all know, there are many road repairs in Antipolo all the way down to Morong. We drove down Sunday afternoon to Pililia and stayed in one of the resorts along the main highway of Tanay. We planned to do this to avoid the morning rush and traffic. It was a long drive but the trip was enjoyable. Thankfully we were able to get to the venue early.
Over all, the experience of ministering to pastors who have been in the ministry for a long time and showed the desire to learn gives great encouragement to us. In spite the humid weather we had during that day and because the venue was close to a body of water (Laguna de Bay), the fellowship we had with our fellow workers was a real blessing. Establishing new connection with pastors from the countryside and renewing connections with old acquaintances from the area was an accomplishment for us too. Brethren from Mt. Holy Christian Bible Church came to help in the distribution of the books from First Love Publications Ministries. We gave out 8 books for each of the pastors and their wives.
Book titles:
1. The Devil and the Church by E.M. Bounds
2. The New Testament Missionary (A Biblical Study of Missions) by Cliff Hellar
3. False Christ Coming (Does Anybody Care?) by Warren B. Smith
4. The Epistle of James: CHRISTIANITY THAT WORKS by Robert Jones
5. Questions Answered for the Seeking Soul by Robert Jones
6. Addiction and the Grace of God (Leader’s Study Guide) by Stanford E. Murrell
7. PRESUPPOSITIONALISM: A Biblical Approach To Apologetics by Paul S. Nelson
8. Seasonable Counsel (Christ’s Letters to the Seven Churches in Revelation 1-3) by Robert Jones
These books are quite expensive amounting to almost 2,000 pesos but were given for free. Lord willing, First Love Publications Ministries will continue the partnership with All 4 Christ and its vision.
The conference ended with a hearty snack (pancit and pandesal) just before the pastors travel back home. They are hoping to have a follow-up lecture sometime early next year.
To God be the Glory.
